Can I somehow track if an employee that left the company downloaded files from our account?

Can I somehow track if an employee that left the company downloaded files from our account?

An employee has left suddenly and I am trying to track if they downloaded any confidental files. I know how to access who has viewed files but is it possible to see what items were also downloaded on a buisness account? Also, is it possible to set notifications to let admin know when files are downloaded?

Hey there @Nuna123  - sorry to hear about this.

Could you provide some additional information as to what happened in order to get a complete view of the matter at hand?

Are you interested in file activity or viewer information by any chance?

I'm not sure this information helps but if you’re the team admin or user management admin of a Dropbox Business team, you can track how data is shared inside and outside your company. You can read all about this in the following Help Center article:

https://help.dropbox.com/business/monitor-sharing-activity

If you're referring to the Activity Tab which is available to Team Admins on our Dropbox for Business plans , you can filter and narrow down your search by inputting 'downloaded' (for this specific case) in the 'Activity'search field.

These are the options I get (note that I'm on the Advanced plan so YMMV):

As per your last inquiry, I'm afraid there's no such option at the moment (to set an alarm of sorts to notify the admin of files´ downloads)  - I'll forward your suggestion to the team though - thanks for your feedback.

I hope this information helps and please let me know if you have any questions.
