Can you help me share with restricted access?

New member | Level 2

I'm a new real estate photographer. I would like to allow viewing of my customer's images but restrict uploading until an invoice has been paid and a code (or similar) has been e-mailed by me. Is this possible ?  If so, can someone send me information, or a link to how this can be done?  Thank you in advance. PS, I've been delivering images in a thumb drive that requires me to personally deliver them.

You can send them a link to download via https://www.dropbox.com/help/files-folders/set-link-permissions

However, you would then need to manually change it to a shared folder (i.e. on the website and change permissions and settings and then them accept said changes) to make it a shared folder. It cannot be done via codes/passwords etc. https://www.dropbox.com/help/files-folders/add-shared-folder

If you just need them to upload stuff to you why not also look at Requests? https://www.dropbox.com/help/files-folders/create-file-request
