Hi,
I recently re-installed Dropbox onto a replacement LaCie 2Big 6TB mirrored external drive (replacing a previous one). So set up is pretty much identical as it was before the new hard drive. MAC OSX, Mojave.
Sync'ed 2TB over a number of days to Dropbox to the new external drive, but when I try to use any file (have tried all file types; screenshots, InDesign, PSD, jpg, PDF, Excel, SimpleText, etc) they are all corrupt.
If I download the exact same files from DP via a browser to my hard drive, all the files open just fine.
Any ideas?

Thanks Lusil, I'll give that a go on Monday. I have a coupe of projects that finish before then so I don't want to 'upset' the files in the mean time.

We have Dropbox for Business and have been having a recurring ongoing problem with corrupting office files. Files worked on and saved by my collegue (word/exel/ppt) are inaccessable for me from the shared folders on dropbox in my finder window. We run the same version of Office and we both run Macs. As we both need to edit and have access to these files it is becoming a real problem. Have tried trawling the other threads about this issue but didn't find a solution that worked. The preview function works and I can download the file and open it from dropbox website, but I can't open the files from dropbox in my finder window. This is a workable solution but is not what we used to have to do.
Hello @Hannigal - welcome to our Community!
I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this, let's have a look now.
First off, just to make sure we're on the same page, could you send me a screenshot of any errors you might be getting when trying to access those files within your Dropbox Folder?
While you're at it, have you ensured the desktop app on the affected computer shows 'Up to date' which means you're fully synced?
Let me know what you find and we'll take it from there!

Hi Walter,
I think I have fixed it for now by deleteing and reinstalling dropbox on my mac. I'm not sure why this would fix it, but if there was a sync issue (which it might have been) it appears sorted.
Thanks for getting back to me!
Thanks for the speedy update on this @Hannigal; glad to hear it's sorted now!
Feel free to let us know if you stumble upon an issue or a Dropbox question in the future; we're always a post away and happy to help
Have a lovely Friday and enjoy your weekend too - I hope you won't be having friends for dinner tho...

Hi a large number of my pictures from 2013 are corrupt and I'm unable to open them and I have no idea why? Dropbox is the only place I have these pictures saved and I'm worried I've lost them. Help please!!
