I am an administrator of a Dropbox basic account.  We have a number of members. One member has changed his email address and needs to be deleted.  However I cannot delete this member. When I check the other members I find that I appear to be able to delete some and not others. How do I get the ability to delete any member as required?

I've tried again after several previous attempts and this time it worked. I've removed my redundant member.

Hi there @CombertonOVH, let's see what we can find here. 

Since only admins on a Business team can change the email address of other members, could it be that you're on a free team?

If so, the member themselves should be able to leave by going to their online settings. 

Could you ask them to give that a try and let me know how it goes?

Thanks Lusil,

We shall give this a try. However I have been able to delete members in the past and I can see on the team members' page that I appear to have the ability to delete some members but not others.

One of our members (who I am not tryting to delete) has exceeded her Dropbox space by 34% and I wonder whether this has had any effect?

I'll keep you posted.

What was the solution?  I am on free Dropbox; member's ability to access her account disappeared.  I am trying to remove her, then add her back.  Any answers out there?  Thanks

Hi there @beats2two; sorry to jump in here, but can you clarify if you're referring to removing a member from a shared folder or if you're an admin of a team account and trying to remove a member from the team?

 

If you have a screenshot of the issue, I'd appreciate it so that we can have a better look into this.
