Dropbox AD Connector Question

The only way I can get this to run is as AD\Administrator. Trying to run this as a account in the AD\Domain Admins group fails. How is everyone else running theirs?

Hey there @JustynK

Welcome to the Dropbox Community! Let's see what we can find.

Have you checked out this article on the Dropbox Active Directory Connector and the steps to set up?

If you have, could you let us know if you are you getting any specific error messages when the setup fails? Sending us a screenshot of it (without any personal information) would be really helpful!

Keep us posted!

Thanks. It installs fine. However when I run the Config as any other user BUT AD\Administrator it fails.  I was curious how other people were running AD Connector.

Thanks for your swift reply and for the error logs, @JustynK!

In this case, I'd recommend continuing via ticket due to account-specific info that may be needed.

I was able to locate your support request and can see that a member of my team has replied to you. I've passed your comments along to them so don't hesitate to get back to them if you have any other questions or info.

I'll also leave this thread open for any other like-minded users that may have any input or ideas on this.

I hope this helps to some extent!

Sure. I had to install AD connector and run it as the AD service account I wanted to use.
