Hi.
one of my users managed to lock their account out for 24hrs due to too many login attempts.
I’ve just chatted with support who say there is no way to override the 24hr lockout.
That’s pretty damaging for us as it means the user can’t really work today.
The lock out is a good idea. The inability for a dropbox admin OR dropbox support to unblock is a bad one.
I wasn’t allowed to escalate the issue further so thought I’d post here to inform and see if anyone could help suggest the feature to the dev team.

Thanks.
I actually see this as a potentioal DOS issue as well as an annoying user issue.
It would be great to have some tools to unlock the account and block the IP from connecting.
What happens if someone (maybe an ex employee) decides to just start locking people out of dropbox by guessing their password x number of times.
You could cause some serious disruption this way.
Thanks again.

Did the development team decide to remove the lockout? I have been attempting to get locked out of my Business account and never run into a lockout scenario. I'm evaluating the risk of the lack of a lockout for HIPAA compliance of a client.
