Dropbox Mac notifications wrong name

Recently took over an old employee's computer and drobbox account, and after changing my name on account settings and unlinking and relinking the dropbox folder, my team members still get notifications with the old employee's name.

Has anyone had this problem before? The name change works on all of the Windows computers but all of the Macs still have the old name.

Is the name of this account changed in the settings of your account here

When you say you unlinked and relinked, did you relink with a different email address? 

What type of notifications is your team getting?

Yes it has been changed there. That was the first thing I did when I got the account. and yes it was relinked with a different email address. 
The notifications are the basic dropbox notifications that show up in the upper right corner of the Mac. They follow the format: 

 

(Name) changed X file

(Name) deleted X file

 

The notifications are like that but my project manager receives all of them and they constantly show the wrong name.

Since you are in a team, my best advise is to have your admin call in to our suppot from their Admin console's "Help" section. 

We will be able to see exactly what has happened and help you fix it. 

I have not heard of this issue before and so I cannot provide any generic steps via the Community, unfortunately. 

I would love to know how this issue got solved. If you can get back to our thread and post any updates I would greatly appreciate it.
