File sync problems between Mac and PC

Hi,

 

I have a file that I saved and it was synced by my coworkers don't see the latest version even though it was saved and everything shows up to date. My coworker closed out of Dropbox and opened it again and everything says up to date on her end too. Thoughts?

Hey gabriellam, welcome to the Dropbox Community & thanks for posting us on your syncing issue. How are you today? 
 
I’v previously posted a similar reply here, though I’d happily repeat my tips with you below, so as to narrow down the possible causes together: 
 
  • Based on your description, it’s highly likely that you’re experiencing a syncing issue, as you’ve mentioned that your colleague can’t see your changes & vice-versa, hence I’d advise checking that both devices are updated correctly to the latest Stable Build (50.4.71) & all syncing icons are loading correctly on both devices. (i.e. You've mentioned that your colleague has reastarted their device, though are the files updating?)
  • Following, as I’m assuming that you’re both working in a shared folder, can you make sure that you’re saving the updates back to the same location? Are you or your colleague saving the file to your account by any chance (i.e. so the file isn’t visible to the other)? 
  • Last but not least, can you both see your uploads on your Homepage? Have you checked the file's version history online? 
  • Additionally, I’d appreciate it if you included a screenshot (omitting personal info) of any error messages you’re seeing in your next message here, so as to send you the most relevant next steps.
