Former employee comes back to company: reviving access?

Former employee comes back to company: reviving access?

New member | Level 2

When an employee left the company last year, we moved their Dropbox Enterprise member status to Deleted.  We welcomed them back to the company today and they now have the same corporate email address as before, whih is also the same DBE login of their Deleted account.

The member status cannot be revived.  How do I bring this new (old) employee back as a member of DBE?

Hi Hans, if a user has been deleted, you only get 7 days to restore their account to the way it was before, this is to prevent accidental deletions.

Otherwise, you’ll need to re-invite the user as if they were a new person by directly inviting their work email to your account.

They can use a different password if they wish to do so.

If you’re experiencing any difficulty with the invite, or get any errors about this, please let us know!

Sorry, this is the standard onboarding procedure of a new employee using a new, unique DPE ID.  This doesn't explain how to re-initialize a DPE ID that is currently Deleted and not revivable.
