I just opened a Dropbox account so I could download family photos from my daughter. She houses hers in Dropbox. So I set up an account and the system told me that Dropbox would sync with my laptop and if I deleted a file from my Dropbox account, it would ERASE it from my laptop. Then, it sends me a message that I'm out of space in my free Dropbox account and Dropbox wants to get money from me now! How do I get rid of this stupid program WITHOUT DELETING MY LAPTOP???? HELP!!!
Hi @Outback6775,
Seems the issue name is "Computer Backup" feature. Did it gets activated intentionally... 🧐 or might be unintentionally. In all cases, seems the result is undesirable. In such case, just turn it off. Take a look on part "Turn off computer backup" and in point 6 choose "Keep content in folders on this PC/Mac", not "Leave content in Dropbox". That's it.
And... Happy New Year.
Hope this helps.
