How do I stop one person from accessing a Dropbox link?

How do I stop one person from accessing a Dropbox link?

Explorer | Level 3

We've terminated a relationship with an associate and we want to ensure that they no longer have access to the Dropbox link.  How can we stop them from gaining access to the Dropbox folder without disturbing the access of our other associates?  We only shared a link and did not share it through the Share function.

Hello @benlee2828, I hope you've had a good week so far!

Since you share the file via a shared link, there's a couple possibilities that I could suggest.

The first would be to add a password to the link, and just send the password out to the people who need to have access still.

The second would unfortunately be to delete the link and create a new link to send to those who need access still.

There wouldn't be a way to stop just one person you've shared the link with from accessing it I'm afraid. I hope one of the above options will be suitable for your needs.

Let me know if you have any questions!
