How to administrate a Dropbox Business account as a 3rd party consultant with no extra cost?

 Hello everyone,

I am an independent IT contractor working with a client who uses Dropbox for Business.  They are wanting my help to administrate users and file access, but I have been unable to find a way to give admin access to a discrete account for myself within their Dropbox console that would be what I would call an "unlicensed user" similarly to what I could do in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace so that I am able to help manage them without incurring any additional costs for them.  I do not require any of my own Dropbox storage, only to be able to administrate their account.  Is there a way to accomplish this?

Hey @coreitsystems, thanks for joining our Community!

I'm afraid that at the moment, only users that take up a license in a Dropbox Business team can become admins.

You can become an admin of a team if you're a member of the team in question or an admin of another team, but you'd need to take up a license.

You could however, post your idea on our idea board for other users to up-vote.

Let me know if you have any questions.
