Hi, I am getting confused by the GDPR requirements. I currently used Dropbox for my business. Can you please tell me if this counts as transferring Data out of the EEA?

 

The standard clause on my software provided contract states -

 

International Transfers

We shall not process and/or transfer, or otherwise directly or indirectly disclose, any Protected Data in or to countries outside the European Economic Authority unless your prior written consent has been obtained.

 

Can you please let me know if this is true if I am using Dropbox?

I would suggest that you read through Dropbox's GDPR Guidance Center, and then contact Support directly if you have any further questions. They would be the ones to best address any concerns you may have.

Replies take approximately 1 - 3 business days with Plus, Professional and Business users getting priority (longer for Basic users). If you have a Business account that includes chat and/or phone support, those options are available in your Admin console by clicking Help.
