I deleted a couple of folders from my local Dropbox folder, thinking that they will only be deleted on my computer, not on the dropbox site. I am having a heart attack, none of those files are available on dropbox, and they are not in the deleted files either. What can I do?? I already emptied my trash.

I feel for you but if you had them inside Dropbox folder and they had synced to Dropbox Servers (Cloud) then you should be able to restore them. See: https/www.dropbox.com/help/security/recover-deleted-files-folders
You can also request a rollback if you know what time you deleted them. You can email Support at https/www.dropbox.com/support
If the files were deleted over 30 days ago, then you are out of luck. Unless you have a Business account which gives you 120 days. The best bet is to try to retrieve the files and/or give support an email
