THe Dropbox Icon in the tray is ALWAYS white, and never chnges. None of the files or folders ever show any form of check marks or other indicators. Dropbox seems to work fine otherwise.

The icon is always white when Dropbox is running and your files are up-to-date. It turns grey when Dropbox is offline, and it will have a blue sync icon over it while files are syncing. It no longer has a green check mark when up-to-date.
If your files aren't showing the icon overlays to indicate their sync status, then I'd suggest reinstalling Dropbox and use the latest stable version. If that doesn't resolve it, reply back with operating system and version, and Dropbox version.
