If I join a team, can I keep my account when it's removed or should I make a new account?

Hello,  I am working with a client who has a business account - she wants to make me part of her team using her business account - I accepted the request and now dropbox is asking if I want to combine my account with the new team account - but what will happen if I no longer work with this client?  Will I still have my account if she removes me from her business team?  my dropbox account is under my business email address.

Should I make a seperate dropbox account?

Hey there @zimmellie, I hope you're well today!

When removing accounts from a team, the admin will have the option to either delete the account or convert it back to a personal account.

However, if you have any personal files stored within your account then I'd suggest keeping your personal account separate, since admins essentially have ownership of the accounts in the team.

In this case, you can then share files or folders from your personal account with the business account should you need to.
