Dropbox teams & admins

I am an admin on a dropbox used by team members in a club. I need to invite a member who has a new password for the team, but it does not appear to work when he tries to sign in.
My question, should I assign a password if so where do I do that ?? can the invited person assign any password?
thx

Hi @ejwjohn, thanks for joining the Community!
Did the user already have a Dropbox account at the address you invited them to, or is it a brand new account?
When joining the team, what was the exact message the user got regarding their password? According to the admin console, are they an invited member, or an active member?
Keep me posted!

Hello,
They had an account but not with the current email address, we had to change a couple of emails for a few team members, this team member seems to be experiencing issues, that the others did not.
Ref the error msg sorry I cannot be more specific, but it said something like "......this is the new invite for you to use with the new password."..........
But I never issued a new password????
This person is showing up as Invited when I look at the screen that shows me the members, but when I go to the button that says "Everyone in the team" it shows him as a Member.???
Thx
JohnW
What happens when the person attempts to login and then join the team with that link?
Could you get a screenshot of that page if they get any errors?
Also, are you on a paid Dropbox Business team?

Firstly,
this is not a paid for account.
there is no error message ?...
thx John
Okay, so it sounds like this a free team then, so the options are fairly limited when it comes to joining the team.
Could you try deleting the invite and then try inviting the user again under their email address?

The Team member that has this issue has still not responded with the outcome from the last instruction I gave him.
So I can only assume this issue is still unresolved.
