Thanks for the additional information @simeio - much obliged.

Even though this IDP is not suported at the moment and we're only able to assist with partners listed on this Help Center article, I made sure to create a ticket on my end for you so we can escalate your question to our engineers in the hopes that they'd be able to help further that this. Check your inbox for email and we'll take it from there.

In the meantime, I would also suggest that you also contacted your IDP to make sure you're inputting all the right information properly on your end.

Thanks so much for your patience and cooperation so far.

Hey there Vinayak (@simeio) - how are you today?

Single sign - on is  feature that is available to Dropbox Business teams on an Advanced or Enterprise plan at the moment.

Note that we utilize the secure and widely adopted industry standard Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), which means our implementation of SSO integrates easily with any large identity provider that supports SAML. If you've built your own SAML-based federated authentication process, we integrate with that too. We support service-provider-initiated SAML and identity-provider-initiated SAML.

I hope this information helps and please let me know if there's anything else you'd like to ask.

Hi Walter,

Please don't get confused with SSO (single sign on) and SLO (Single Logout).

I have configured SSO for Dropbox with my IdP, I want to configure SLO (single logout) now. How can I do that?

Thanks

Vinayak

I wasn't confused @simeio - I just wanted you to know that Single Logout is part of our SSO for Dropbox integration and it depends on the identity provider you chose as it's an optional step as mentioned here.

Have you by any chance reached out to them to ask about this directly Vinayak?

Hi Walter,

My Identity Provider is PingFederate and it supports SLO. I have a SLO endpoint and entered in the field of Identity provider sign-out URL (optional). When I logout from Dropbox, I don't see any SAML logout request getting sent from Dropbox to my IDP. It just redirects to the mentioned URL.

Thanks

Vinayak

Thanks for the additional info Vinayak ( @simeio) - most appreciated.

Have you by any chance reached out to them (i.e. PingFederate) directly to ask how you should go about configuring this?

Yes, I asked them. They said we need to have a SLO endpoint of Dropbox to which ping sends a SAML logout response, before that we have to configure Dropbox to send a SAML request to Ping's SLO endpoint when we click logout from Dropbox. So I am just asking how are we going to configure on Dropbox side?, I will take care of Ping side configurations.

Thanks

Sorry if I'm being blunt or missing something obvious here Vinayak ( @simeio), yet have you completed your setup's configuration as per this page:

https://www.dropbox.com/help/business/sso-admin

Are you still having problems with this if you do?

Please let me know providing a screenshot of the problem so I can have a visual of what's not working properly too. Also, please let me know if it would be OK with you if I reached out to you via email directly to work on this together internally with all of our tools available (this way I could have an expert of our team look into this for you too, if needed)

Yes Walter, I have set it up as per the page you sent,

My Logout URL is https://iamprod.vzw.com/ext/dropoff

Dropbox is not sending any SAML logout request when calling this URL, instead it's just a http redirection.

Can you ask your engineering team that if there's any settings to enable SLO on Dropbox side?

And what's dropbox's SLO endpoint?

And Following is the screenshot of SAML Tracer logs. I don't see any SAML messages with my logout URL.
