Is it possible to have One Drive and Dropbox desktop app both installed in my PC?

Is it possible to have One Drive and Dropbox desktop app both installed in my PC?

Collaborator | Level 10

Hi there. Some of my users have their own One Drive accounts and are using both Dropbox Business and One Drive. There has been complaints of slow sync and missing icon. Could it be anything to do with having two sync clients?

Hey @mxoh

In general, if you have two apps syncing files to the same location, then you may run the risk of symlinks which can be the cause of, for example, high CPU usage and poor syncing performance. You can find more info about this and ways to troubleshoot in this article

However, if users have taken a look at the above article and they’re still experiencing some trouble with this, I’d recommend that they directly contact our Support team so that we can have a more in-depth look for them with our internal tools.

Let me know of any updates!
