Need to undo Dropbox for Business merge from Personal account

Need to undo Dropbox for Business merge from Personal account

New member | Level 2

I accidentally accepted an invite to a Dropbox for Business account, and clicked the button to merge the personal files and the business files.

The account I accepted the invite to, is NOT my business. It's the business of a client of mine.

How do I un-merge my account and get access to my files again?

The admin of the Business account needs to convert your account back to an individual account.

Make sure you ask them not to delete the account from the team, or it will be deleted, not converted. They need to follow the help article I linked to.

Hi @humanism - welcome to the Dropbox Community!

To directly cut to the chase, the best way to do this would be to reach out to your admin directly and ask them to convert your Dropbox account back to an individual account using the steps outlined in the relevant Help Center article:

Let me know how it goes and/or if you have any additional questions.
