Placing link in word file

Can you place a hyperlink in a word file with the link directing to files in my dropbox expecting others to be able to view without having a drop box account.

You can do this via a Shared Link:
https://www.dropbox.com/help/files-folders/view-only-access

Hi there, as Mark suggested, shared links are the way to go about this.
 
Bear in mind that they are subject to the daily bandwidth limit. Also, if you’re on a paid account, make sure that there’s no restrictions on the links themselves.
