Hi @claresimpson, welcome to our Community!

If you're part of a Business team, you should be able to change your settings as mentioned here

I hope this clarifies!

Thank you so much for the screenshots, @claresimpson! Excellent job.

It seems you might be part of our legacy Business plans, hence why you do not see this setting.

You wouldn't have the ability to do so, unless you're talking about shared folders.

Can you clarify if what you wish to achieve is about that?

Hi there,

I want to be able to block the ability for non-admin users to create any new folder (shared or otherwise) at the top level.  The feature you mentioned sounds like what we need.

What do you mean by 'legacy Business plans'.  Is there a newer plan with greater functionality to which we could migrate?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Clare

A Legacy business plan means you have an older structure.

Let's try the following:

Go to your Admin console, then the Settings tab. Once there, go to Early Access and let me know if you have the 'Update to a team space' option.

That should do the trick, @claresimpson .

Happy Thursday, @claresimpson!

It seems that at the moment, changing your team structure wouldn't be possible.

Keep in mind that team members can create non-shared and regular shared folders, and there is no way for admins to block that ability.

Also, when a team member creates a regular folder and then shares it with another team member, only those two will see the content in their Dropbox account.

Hi there,

Why is not possible to change our team structure please - is this possible for other users?

Regards,

Clare

Happy Friday, @claresimpson

Since this is a beta feature, it might not be available to all.

You can always suggest that this is possible, under our 'Share an idea' section.

I will pass on your comments to the relevant departments so that we can further improve.

Your comments on this have been quite helpful, and I will do everything I can to ensure that your voice is heard.
