I have no right-click functionality on my mac for dropbox at all it just stopped i am running 10.13.4 high sierra and dropbox v47.4.74 and Dropbox support is awful they told me to restart

Hey michael h.83, I’m just checking back & updating the thread, as I could see that this issue has been resolved for you via email! 
 
Based on your discussion with our team specialist, it appears that all the missing functionality (i.e. being able to right-click on a file/ create a shared link &c.) was restored once you unlinked & reinstalled the desktop Dropbox application. 
 
All in all, I was delighted to hear that this has been settled now for you & please don’t hesitate to get in touch at any time in case you have any questions or you’d like to share your thoughts again in the future. Happy syncing & a creative week ahead!

Thanks for letting us know about this @michael h.83

 

Sorry to hear that you lost your right click functionality Michael. Kindly note that, initially, in order to investigate something related to a visual issue on your desktop application, the first step is for you to restart your computer and see if the issue persists as restarting your computer should reload all of the Dropbox visual elements. 

 

If the issue persists after having rebooted your device, a re-install of our application is needed as there might be a problem with the Dropbox software currently installed on your computer.

 

Should the problem with your right click functionality on your Mac computer persist, please attach a screen-cast ( you can see how to create one here) in your next reply so we can have  a visual of the issue at hand. 

 

Let me know what you find please Michael. Will be awaiting for your response so we can have a further look into this. Thanks!

Restarting has not helped at all. I have no right-click funtionality I cannot even create a link or download a file. here is a screenshot

As you mention already trying the steps that @Walt3R provided you with, can you try one more time providing us with a screenshot (omitting any personal information) as we did not receive it, or even better a screencast in order to have a clear image of what is happening?
 
Additionally, make sure that the application is running.

I’m also letting you know that I’ve run a search internally on our system michael h.83 & I could see that your open ticket has already been escalated to a higher level of Support, who’ll investigate your account specifics & they’ll get back in touch on this correspondence once they’ve analyzed the case, in order to troubleshoot with you more closely.
