Reverting Smart Sync Settings Team Wide

Hey,

 

For our team, we have the new files default set to local. We have grown, and have found that when new team members install the app, their space gets eaten up because of this fact. We are looking to now revert and change the setting default location to online-only, but are concerned what may happen to those existing users who have the dropbox app installed with local turned on. Will they be affected?

Hello @michaelrango, I'd be happy to help!

Generally, content that’s already been downloaded to team member devices will not be affected, while, in this case, new content will be automatically set to online-only.

Remember though that team members can change this setting on their computers at a later point in time.
