What are the effects of changing the team name?

I am working on a third-party software integration that is going to use a shared Dropbox folder.

The requirements of the integration involve renaming our Team Name (Settings -> Team Profile -> Team Name) to be "Dropbox." Currently the Team Name is the name of our company.

Aside from the name of the team in the file system GUI for machines running the Dropbox client, does this change have any other effects? What are they?

We are running headless Dropbox clients on Linux as well.

Thank you for starting your first topic to our Community! Welcome. 

Changing the name of your Dropbox Team, will reflect to your client if there are no syncing difficulties. It will not affect any Dropbox functionality locally or on the cloud. 

Note If you name the team Dropbox, then the app will Show as Dropbox Dropbox locally. While if you had another team name if would show as Dropbox {Team name} instead.

Indeed, I'm not keen that the app name will appear as "Dropbox Dropbox" on GUI clients, but it's apparently a requirement for this integration. 🤷‍
