need to get off another account and start a new one

Hi,

 

I had a 'pro' account with a super shady employer last year.  

 

I left her employment and I tried to deleted this account.

 

I tried to activate a new one -- just for me and my files.  And, I have not been able to activate one that is not connected to her name. When I started a new account, her name and her files reappear on it! 

 

HELP What do I do?

 

Please help, I am a creative artist and need to be file sharing ASAP.

Hi @Stephanie M; welcome to the Dropbox Community!

 

It sounds like you never deleted the account in question so instead of creating a new account with the same email address, you just logged into that account again. 

 

Just to make sure we're on the same page, can you please let me what is your account's plan tab reporting at the moment?
