I was invited to a TEAM dropbox. I had to set up a profile to enter the team with my work address. I just discovered because my storage limits are exceeded that I have been uploading all of my files to this TEAM account. How do I fix this?
when I try to set up a new account -- it says my email is already being used

It sounds like you joined a Dropbox for Business teams account with your personal account and since the email address is still being used, you won't be able to create a new account with that email address.
If that's the case indeed, you'll need to have your team's admin convert your account back to an individual one using these steps.
