How to use Spaces for social plans

How to use Spaces for social plans

This year is definitely not the year for FOMO, and the perfect way to avoid it is to do a little bit of organization. So here are a few tips on how to get your group together without the hassle.

Getting the group together:

We all know the struggle of finding a time that suits a group of friends. Everyone has a different work schedule, kids, plans, and it can be a nightmare to find a time slot that actually works  for everyone. A group chat, separate conversations and human error can lead to mix ups and missed catch ups, so why not bring everyone together before you bring everyone together.

Create a Space for you and your social group, and add your whole group and watch the plans get made. This isn’t a place for regular chit chat, so people should stay on task, hopefully. With the project plan, you can share your available dates or options and the stars might just align so you can all meet up.

Share the responsibility:

Nothing kills the get together mood like the actual tasks you need to do, so share that out and many hands can make light work. Whether it’s a BBQ, a picnic, a camping trip or a road trip, there are jobs that can be spread out, so start a paper doc right in that Space you set up and add some tasks with dates and tag the other people in your group too.

Add updates:

If the weather changes and all of a sudden your BBQ needs to become a movie night, you can update your Space to quickly let everyone know what’s up. And if things really need to change, you can start a Zoom call from right within your Space too, so you can hash it out on a call.

The afterparty:

After you get some much needed hang out time with your friends, you can add all of the photos and videos to the Space so you can all relive the memories.

I know I have already used this to organize a camping trip with my friends for later in the summer, and it was definitely easier than a group chat mess.
