Can we have different plans / price points / data combinations / plan sizes?

Can we have different plans / price points / data combinations / plan sizes?

Hi, I find limited in the choices of subscription plans. Basic/free and Pro/110$

I'd gladly pay something like 25$ a year for 50GB and a 2 users family plan.

Considering iCloud have a 12$ plan for 20 GB and 48$ for 200GB, that seems reasonable..

Hi Mark,

I typed miss unit please understand MB -> GB, cause I can not edit my post.

I mean 100 -> 250GB -> 500GB, I think smaller packs will make more users ready to pay. More cheaper more users, I think

And dropbox can increase money, not lost money as you said, just change your mind about it.

I like the monthly subscription option. But I'm not looking to spend for more than I need.

I could get by with 100GB. I certainly don't need 1TB.

Could you offer a 100GB upgrade option for, say, $3 month?

It wont happen - until recently it was $9.99 for 100gb.

Lots and lots of posts and reasons why (Dropbox lose money when pricing reduces from tests they've ran) if you search for them.

I knew what you meant but the point is exactly the same. They lose money.

Thats because EVERYBODY downgrades to smaller packages.

These have been tested time and time again.

Google Drive is free.   I'd rather pay $3.99 than get something for free. But I'd rather get something for free than pay $9.99/month for it.

Isnt the free market brilliant though?

You can choose to do what you want for it. For me I wont use Googledrive as I dont like the fact they scan your files to target you with adverts. So I'm quite happy with my $99pa deal (especially as I'm in the UK so get it for less due to currency fluctuations).

I get advertisements from Google for anything anyone in my household purchases online. If my wife buys a bra, I get bra ads. If my son buys an orthopedic boot for a sports injury, I get ads for orthopedic boots for the next six months.  The practice is industry wide. If we buy a child's book as a birthday present for someone we know, Amazon Alexa thinks we will enjoy childrens songs. It's moronic, but apparently venture capitalists think it is clever.

And its also possible, certainly within the EU, to stop all of those adverts via opt-outs. That is, except when you are using a service which owns the advert system and has it in the T&C's that it happens. Personally the whole tailored adverts thing terrifies me - even our TV providers are now automatically opting you in to targeted adverts!

I live in The Land of Laissez-Faire.  Businesses can do pretty much as they please here. People, not so much.

I got an email to come check out your new service. Lowest end is $10.50 Canadian and I get 1TB and a bunch of stuff. My Office 365 membership is $8.33 a month $99.99 for the year. I get 1TB storage and an office suite and a whole bunch of other things. I’m just not seeing myself paying more to get less. Will keep using your service but its not really there yet to give you more money. Even Google gives me unlimited storage on photos for FREE!!!!
