Same here. I am planning to move to Google One, as Dropbox doesn't seem to have plans to implement this feature. It's a pity, because I didn't want to leave Dropbox
Well I can only assume this has not been resolved. I am looking at options still, currently on Gdrive 2TB a month package but I only need less than 400GB - sad really. As for Bandwidth, well dropbox might be touted as the best but it's slow compared to Google - I can max out my connection (1Gbps) on google but not on dropbox - this is using Filezilla Pro which they both can use so a fair test
But come ON Dropbox! £19.99 / month for something Google charges £7,99 a month for - and you give the same features but Google also lets you share that with family, and gives us 40% off hotels! which is good as we travel a lot.
I only ever need about 150 GB, and about a third of that if I don't store public domain music and film. I don't need a TB of data, and don't need to pay $120 for that. Unfortunately I'm unsubscribing until you all decide to let me pay 1/10th the price of someone using 1o times more data than I. Plus, your storage is not encrypted.
I just moved away from Dropbox after having used it since it first launched back in 2008, and it's because of the price. I need more space than my free account gives me, and I would be happy to pay a few dollars a month for a couple hundred GB, but I am certainly not paying $12/mo for a terabyte. Firstly, that is far more space than I need, and secondly, it's far more expensive than the competition. I'm disappointed to have to leave Dropbox after getting so much use out of it, but you simply aren't remotely competitive on price. I certainly hope that at some point in the future you can expand your paid offerings and offer a sensible alternative to Google Drive, but until then, I'm gone.
