Folder Tree View on web interface

In the web view of Google Drive there is a Folder tree view on the left hand side. it allows for easy movement between folders and for dragging and dropping between folders on different branches when you need to organise stuff without access to a PC.

Please, please copy/steal/independently come up with a similar implementation.

Thanks!

I need to print off the layout/map of all our Dropbox for business folders so I can discuss with my CEO who should have access to what folders and to what degree. In order to do this he needs to be able to see all the folders laid out.

Can somebody assist with showing me how to do this?

I have a similar need. I'm leading a project to clean up and reorganize our business Dropbox. I need a tree view of the current folder structure as a starting point. I don't have space on my computer to sync everything. I could really use a way to create a folder tree of the entire Dropbox. Not necessarily every file but at least the folder structure.

Hi Steven,

Thanks for this feedback, I'll make sure to send it on to our development team.

Such a feature would be great.

This would be a very valuable tool in our deployment and also useful for a quick reference as users adopt D4B and come up to speed with the new folder structure we're creating.

I can't believe that there isn't an option to view a folder tree. The combination of the lack of that feature and the inability to select and move multiple files makes moving things around folders a complete pain in the neck (to put it politely). Or am I missing something?

I completely agree with the previous comments on this.  I wish Dropbox cared more for users' needs.

I am astounded there is no function for creating a folder tree or directory of files in Dropbox - and judging by how old some of these comments are, there is no intention to create this functionality. Can anybody guess why this may be?

Suggestion:

Ability to add shortcuts to favourite / frequently used folders in Dropbox web interface (like SharePoint)

Tree folder view (similar to Google Drive / smb) in Dropbox web interfac

System admin to select and delete multiple files sitting the “Deleted Files” bin.

I mainly use dropbox paper for my school notes and documents and as of now it's quite a mess to navigate between folders. With a Tree View it would be easier to manage, and if this view could be added to the sidebar, that would help a lot!

Thanks!
