Ability to move items within the "Offline" files list

Ability to move items within the "Offline" files list

Offline files are now sorted by name, but I still want to be able to move them up/down if I need. I often use the "offline folder" as a "playlist" of Pdf´s that I need in a very specific order.  Why did you take away that option? I really need to be able to move files up/down the list.

Same here. Please bring this feature back!

I just realized this feature was missing. I too have a specific order I want to see my offline files. I would rather not have to rename my files just to have them sorted the way I want them to appear.

Yes, I too miss this feature. I play every Sunday at my church and I use Dropbox to load my files. Having them in a specific order really worked out for me.

I also really miss not being able to sort the offline folder for my needs. Please bring it back.

I really need to be able to sort out in the order I choose these offline folder.

This has now made Dropbox far less useful than before. I am going to have to change our personal and business.

Does anyone know of a Cloud File program that does have offline files I can select the sort order in. Please.

Loosing this feature reduces the usefulness of Dropbox significantly.

I have used this feature for several years. I'm a comics creator working on dozens of projects at once with several collaborators. I link to current copies of all work in progress in my Offline list, and I organize them by due date (i.e. priority), so I can keep track of which ones are finished, which need prompt attention, etc. File attributes such as size or name or even date are totally counterintuitive for this use.

I also use the feature frequently on my iPad, using it to put together ad hoc presentations: I can select a dozen image files from various locations in my Dropbox storage, slide them into the order I want them (often changing my mind as I go), and then flip thru them for the editor or a customer. The only way to do that now would require first deciding what order to put them in, then renaming the original files in sequence: a really awkward kludge.

This capability has a been a reliable and compelling feature of the app for years, and having it taken away like this torpedoes one of the few things keeping me with Dropbox.

So how does this work? Does Dropbox eventually respond? Are they going to notify us if they plan to restore this feature or not?

Come on dropbox, we really need this feature back.

@Heisenberg I don't think the developers at Dropbox work from a plan or anything like that. I'm pretty sure the way this works is that if they think it would be cool to restore the feature, we'll find out when a new release with it shows up in the App Store.

If you haven't already, open up the app, select Recents (because the UI no longer makes sense) then tap the gear icon for Settings.  There's a "Send Feedback" option with "Tell us what you dislike" as an option.
