deleting photos in new photos view not possible

I searched community answers for deleting photos.  All of the answers I found referred to the old photos view.  In the new photos view (July 2017), I could not find any way to delete photos. I contacted support and they confirmed it was not possible.  They directed me to use the files view - a terrible way, since you have to work with filenames instead of pictures.

Dropbox - this really sucks.  Fix it!

FIX THIS DROPBOX!

I want to clarify my original post - I am referring to accessing dropbox via a web browser.

The 'old' feature where you could EASILY review and delete photos from your timeline was the reason I choose to pay for Dropbox.

Will this feature come back, PLEASE?

I just switched to google photos since I wasn't able to delete pictures anymore in the Dropbox new photo view page.  I have to say that google photos is so much better! Sorry Dropbox.

As I have a lot of confidential images, I need to "exclude" some folders from the photo timeline feature. The old feature was better than the new one, or explain how can I implement this necessary action.

Dropbox is important to fix this bug. Is a stepback for the service I'm paying

As an alterenative way to solve this problem, how can we move in an easy way, more than 6 thousand photos form Dropbox to Google Photos?

I'm not sure how you move from dropbox to google photos.  I've been moving all my photos from apple photos to google, about 70,000 pics.   I've just been dragging and dropping.  It's been pretty easy but definitley takes some time.  But it seems to me google photos is much more geared for photo storage than dropbox.  I wasn't a long time dropbox user so I wasn't as invested as some people might be though.  But I definitely had thousands of pictures stored.  Just wasn't happy with the new updated photo view page.  It seemed like a downgrade to me.  Google photos is so much better for photo storage.

Be aware that the free unlimited Google photo storage will reduce the image quality if your photos come from a very high quality source such as some DSLR cameras.  Dropbox stores photos without degrading the image.  If you choose the paid version of Google Photos, it stores them in their original quality.

I agree that Google Photos and several other cloud storage options are much more friendly than Dropbox for managing photos.  I think dropbox has got some catching up to do.

It is ridiculous that the ability to delete from a photos view was removed.   Whoever decided this needs to be reprimanded.  For photo storage dropbox is good but as a consumer I want the ability to easily delete whatever I want.  I am using dropbox for my family photo and video storage so that in the event that I pass my children will have access to it.  I do not want unrelated images or files mixed in with the important ones.

Someone has to make deleting pics easier.  I am so angry that I just might take the time to end my business relations with dropbox for an alternative photo storage company.

I just uploaded new folders with travel photos , after being away for all of September. I inadvertently duplicated some files , then tried for 30 minutes to delete the duplicates. All the easy tools to delete, duplicate, etc. have vanished.

Following outdated directions after searching on Help, I find the drag & drop into trash on my Mac doesn't work.  Searches turns up more outdated directions; it was so easy to clean up files (prior to July 2017) So easy to do I NEVER thought about the mechanics of to deleting files.

Now I read this, and it's unbelievable - there's zero way to delete pictures? Not a service any longer, a serious intrusion and demand on my time in file management. RESTORE THE DELETE tools!
