Does the file still have the extension on the file name?

E.g. 'My book' wont open in anything, but, 'My Book.docx' will open in Word.

Then you need to add the extension back via a rename and all should work 🙂

You've not given us any information to work on I'm afraid....

So, you need to rename it either on your computer if thats where you are having the trouble via the normal way of doing it (Google if youre not sure), or, by clicking on the white space next to the file name at www.dropbox.com/home and then clicking on 'Rename' which appears at the right
