Dropbox can't sync (not enough free disk space)

Dropbox tells me it cannot sync because of not enough free disk space, which is obviously not true. I'm running Ubuntu 18.04.4Screenshot from 2020-03-07 01-36-52.jpg

Hi @pavel_danek, thanks for posting on the Community!

The Dropbox desktop application does require some hard drive space to sync. Are you able to free up a little more space to see if this allows the app to sync?

Keep me posted!

Hi Jay, thanks for the quick response. I had to remove some files from Trash which freed up some space and everything is working fine now. But I still don't understand why 900 MB of free space was not enough.

The Dropbox desktop application does require additional space to cache and sync files to your machine.

It’s possible that the reported size of the Dropbox folder on the machine wasn’t accurate, so more space was needed to sync the rest.
