Error message when trying to open Dropbox on Finder

I get this error message when I try to open my dropbox file from Finder:    “Dropbox (Kathy)” can’t be opened because the original item can’t be found.

Can you provide a screenshot of this?

On Mac, press together [Command][Shift][3] keys, it will take a snapshot of the screen and save it on the dekstop.

Re: Error message when trying to open Dropbox on Finder

Hi Kathy, if the prompt looks like that, then you’re most likely on a Dropbox Business team, or a free team, with the name of Kathy.

If this message appears, then it means that folder no longer exists, at least under that name.

Could you check where the Dropbox folder is supposed to be by viewing its location in the Dropbox desktop application from the menu bar > gear icon > Preferences > Sync?

Are you able to open the folder that appears there? Let me know what you find out!
