I get a message that the file does not exist when accessing a shared link. Any ideas?

Level 2

Someone is trying to share a folder with me and sends an email link, but when I click on the link I get an error message in Dropbox that says the foldee does not exist. I have tried opening in different browsers, and on both my phone and computer, with no success. Please help!

Re: File does not exist

Hey there Amy - how are you today?

If you get this message then it means that the original owner has probably deleted the folder in question after sharing a link to it with you.

Can you have them check their events page to find the deletion event and restore the folder so you can then access it via the shared link in question?

I hope this helps to some extent and please let me know how it goes!
