Your Dropbox is almot full error message will not clear from my screen

Level 2

I used to be able to "X" out of the "Your Dropbox is almost full" error message; however now I can't.  If I try to "X" out, nothing happens.  I've restarted, but the message will not go away.  HELP!

Hey there @alisha1976 - sorry to hear that!

Since you rebooted your device and this persists, I'd recommend to re-install our desktop app to attempt to fix this.

Let me know how it goes and if it persists, attach a screenshot of the error in your next response so we can have a visual of the matter at hand too.

Thanks in advance and happy Monday!

Following up to my previous reply (sorry to have missed this in the first place @alisha1976):

In regards to your account's available space, note that you can always view your current quota usage on the following page: https://www.dropbox.com/account/

Generally speaking, if your Dropbox account is over quota then only syncing stops. Nothing will be removed and syncing will resume when you bring your account under quota again. To get your account under quota you can do any of the following:

  1. Upgrade your account – check out www.dropbox.com/plans for other information.
  2. Increase your quota using referrals bonuses or other promotions.
  3. Leave any shared folders that put you over quota.
  4. Move files that don't need to sync out of your Dropbox folder.

Hope this helps as well!
