Adding files to a folder

New member | Level 2

I was given edit rights to a folder, but I do not manage to upload new files. I get an error message that I need to subscribe to Dropbox business. Is this the only way?

Hello @Clem2

I'd be more than happy to help!

It sounds like you may be running out of storage or the content you're trying to add is too large for your account's storage.

In this case, you can make space by removing unwanted files or leaving shared folders you don't need anymore, or even earning space to increase it

You can also ask the owner to send you a shared link to the folder instead which will give you view-only access and it won't take up space in your account.

Finally, if you want to upload files to their account, you can ask them to send you a file request

Let me know if you have any follow up questions!
