Can't delete Dropbox team folder

Can't delete Dropbox team folder

I created a "Testing" team folder for trial purposes. Then I archived it.

1. The Testing folder is under my files.

2. When I try to delete a team folder under Files, I get "You can archive team folders in the Admin Console. Go to Admin Console"

3. The Testing folder is no longer on the Admin Console.

How do I remove the folder completely?

Sorry to hear this @GLiu - could you try another browser and let me know how this goes?

Thanks!

Hey there @GLiu - how are you today?

Archiving removes all members from the team folder and places the team folder in the archive tab.

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com with your team admin account.
  2. Click Admin Console.
  3. Click Team folders.
  4. Click the ... (ellipsis) icon by the team folder that you want to adjust.
  5. Click Archive.

From the archive tab, click the gear icon beside any archived team folder to either:

  • Restore the folder
  • Permanently delete the team folder

Let me know if you have any issues with this and we'll take it from there if needed.

What you described was what I did. However, the folder is still archiving. There was nothing in the folder when it was archived but it has taken an hour so far to archive it and it's still showing "Archive in Progress".

I'm trying to add another team member to a separate team folder but it's not working. I'm guessing the Testing folder archive process is affecting any other work on admin console.

That fixed the first problem of the archive folder. I can delete it now.

However, I'm still having problems adding team members to a team folder.

Why @GLiu - are you getting any errors? If so, could you share a screenshot so I can have a further look into this for you?

Thanks and happy November!
