Cannot upload files to Dropbox, or sync to Dropbox desktop app

I purchased 1TB of Dropbox storage yesterday successfully. I also downloaded Dropbox App for my iMac and my iPhone. 

I have 2 large video files (3gb) sitting in my Dropbox Desktop App that I'd like to share with friends, however despite the files appearing in my Desktop App they do not synch automatically with my Dropbox account. i.e if i log into Dropbox it shows i have no files, but when i open Dropbox App on Desktop the 2 video files are happily sitting there. Also, they have been "synching" for 24 hours with no success.

Similarly when I log into Dropbox account separately and try to upload the files from scratch from iMovie the upload time for each file says 10-17 hours... it then crashes i.e it file upload doesnt happen.

So I cant synch files from Desktop App to my Dropbox account or iOS Dropbox App, and I cant upload the files onto 

Seriously considering cancelling my subscription today - it shouldnt be this hard!

The issue is.... you need patience slightly smiling face

Sorry, but, if each file on the web is saying 17 hours or so its going to take at least that for each on the computer. 

Just because they are in the Dropbox folder does not mean they are online. The Dropbox icon will tell you when theyve uploaded as it will lose the spinning disc icon (bottom right) and the icons over your movies will turn into green ticks
