Copied Excel File with Web Hyperlinks into Dropbox - Hyperlinks Don't Function

New member | Level 2

I'm wondering why Web hyperlinks in an Excel spreadsheet won't open once I copy the document into Dropbox? They are working fine in the document on my computer. Thank you.

Hey there @cosav

In general, when you create links in a workbook to another workbook or a file on your computer using a formula that relates to an external location, that link points to a location on your own hard drive.

If that workbook is downloaded to another computer, the locations of where that formula points to are no longer there.
