Deleting a file uploaded by me in a shared folder

Can I completely delet files that I uploaded to a shared folder which is not owned by me ? The files should be deleted and no one can see them or restore them anymore, but not the shared folder. 

Another question is will the owner of the shared folder get a notification (email and pop-up) ?

You can delete and restore files in a shared folder if you’re the owner or if you have editing rights. If you’re not sure what your permissions are, you can check it out by:
  1. Sign in to the website.
  2. Go to the Files tab. 
  3. Locate the shared folder and hover over it. 
  4. Select the Share button that appears on the right-hand side. 
  5. Find your email address in the list of users who have access to the shared folder, and on the right-hand side it should either say Owner, Can edit, or Can view.
Please bear in mind that files that you remove will be removed for every other member, as changes to content in the folder are reflected for all.

Thanks for your reply!

After trying and searching, it seems that I definitely can delete files but cannot delete them permanetly...just because I am not the owner of the shared folder... 

Even though I don't want to share a file with other members anymore, and delete it, other memebers still can restore it....

Still appreciating for your help.
