When selecting a single file, the download link vanishes and is replaced by a "share" box and a "open with" box.
I can select a second file and download both of them, but that is really stupid.

When you select to download an individual file from the website, you should be able to see the download option below the Share button, as shown in the screenshot below:
If you don't see it, could you please try switching to another browser or using an incognito window?

Nope. It used to do that, now this is how it looks when a single file is selected:
For reference, when selecting two files it looks like this:

Still, why hide this? Is HTML so expensive that they can't put the download link out in the open? Why two clicks?
This is really annoying. Why bother hiding this?
There are always 2 clicks. 1- click to select and click download. 2- click ellipsis and click download. ?!? Just 2 choices
