Download/Upload speed got slow all of a sudden

Hello, 

I have been using Dropbox to transfer files between myself and my clients for 6 months now. Until 2 days ago, the download speed I had was around 30mb/s and maybe 10mb/s upload. Suddenly, this speed dropped to around 700kb/s which is not good for transferring huge video files.

I did check my bandwidth settings and they are NOT LIMITED to any value. Any other web service acts normally. I tried uploading a 1Gb file on another service and it was done in a matter of seconds.

My speedtest.net looks like this: 

DOWNLOAD Mbps
242.30
UPLOAD Mbps
155.09

I would like to fix this issue asap, because as it is currently, I am unable to work with my clients and it has been 2 days already.
 
PS: Downloading from the dropbox.com website doesn't make it better, the speeds are the same. So the problem is with Dropbox only.

Hey @LucianCraciun, thanks for reaching out to us about this. 

The sync speed you see when you test it out may not match these speeds directly, since we're including the hash, compression, and encryption process in our aggregate kB/s speed.

Also, setting Upload to Don't Limit or a higher number than your connection is capable of can cause all other Internet activity on your network to slow significantly.

If you set the limit to a different value and you see no change, could you try another connection? Could you also let me know if you get the same results when you try to add smaller files to your account?
