How can I share a file with a friend so that they can hear my song?

New member | Level 2

I have questions about Dropbox. I have a basic free account with a new M4A file on it with an instrumental I've just composed on piano on it. As my laptop DVD/Cd drive has stoppe working and I cant find a usb drive. HOW DO I tell a friend how to go into my dropbox so he can hear the song. How do I test my username and password as mine opens without it, and will his computer tell him if he can locate it, which software toplay it through. THANK YOU. L

Hi there @laurancemendes

Welcome to the Dropbox Community!

If you want to share with someone, you can simply send them a shared link to the file.

This will let them preview and listen to the song from their end, even if they don't have a Dropbox account.
