How can I share a link to my Dropbox folder from my site?

New member | Level 2

My dropbox contains teaching material. I want it to be easily available. I thought I could put a link from a website of mine to my dropbox. Teachers or students can then access all the material. I don't want them to change/edit any doc but they can view and download.

Can dropbox be open/downloadable but not editable? What would be the link from website to my dropbox?

Re: share from website

Hi @middlesmoor, welcome to the Community!

This is possible by placing your files inside a folder on your Dropbox account, and then creating a shared link to that folder with the material inside.

If you place that URL on your site, then anyone can access it, even without a Dropbox account, and they won’t be able to edit files, only view and download them directly.

Hope this helps!
