I am in China now. Dropbox on my Mac won't sync.

I'm in China now, so I have to use VPN to use Dropbox. The VPN I used works for Dropbox online only, but not on the App. The icon shows " grey" and files are not syncing. Is there anything I should change in the setting? I'm using Mac now. My colleagues use the same VPN with Microsoft system, and Dropbox work OK on both online and offline.

Glad to know you are able to access, at least. VPN was a great thought! White check mark

Your desktop will not sync as long as you are in China though.  Our servers are inaccessible there. unamused face

This issue is outside of our control, so unfortunately we’re unable to offer advice or assistance in this specific case.

i don't know if this will work but worth a try,

theres and LTT video about browsing the internet anonymously, which includes some more stuff than just vpn, try implementing all these and maybe it will work.
