I get a blank page when I go to Dropbox.com.

Explorer | Level 3

I'm running XP...at this time I,m unable to view my files on dropbox.com 

any help would be appreciated...

Hi Mike; how are you today?

The computer's OS is irrelevant here as you're using the web browser to access your files; could you check if you get the same results after clearing your browser's cache and/or on another browser

Cleared cache on Chrome....still get a blank page when I go to dropbox.com

Tried Windows Explorer(older version on this computer)....and that renders an incomplete dropox page.

My windws 7 machine with Chrome runs fine...

I'm trying to get some old files off this XP machine and upload them to dropbox

DropBox blanks out after a few seconds

I just went to DropBox only to find that all my folders are only visible for a few seconds, then I just get a blank page with the DropBox logo, the menu and nothing else. The folders are clickable for as long as they are visible, but then seem to time out or something.

I have restarted my computer etc but had the same result. I then tried logging on using a different computer and had exactly the same thing happen again. The fault page shows that everything should be up and running just fine so this is a complete mystery - yet the "Contact support" link also seems to blank out after just a second or two so not much use. Any ideas on what is going on and how I can solve it?

I want to start with confirming that since you saw your folders, even for a few seconds, they are safe on the Dropbox cloud and the issue is visual. slightly smiling face So good news! We just have an issue to troubleshoot together and I am happy to help with that.

Please send me a screenshot of the blank page, so I can further investigate.

Thanks Fiona. Unfortunately this goes to a page which is ALSO only visible for a sceond, then blanks out. Is there an email address that I could try?

I think this is a browser issue. 

Sometimes browsers don't load all the elements of a page, if not refreshed let's say. Please try the following and let me know if you get a different behavior. 

  • Use a different browser like Safari, Mozilla Firefox, or Chrome.
  • Clear your browser's cache.
  • Try Incognito Mode or Private Browsing mode.
  • Restore your browser to its default settings and disable any browser plugins. The issue you're experiencing may be the result of a security setting or a plugin that you have installed on your browser.

Thanks a bunch! Weirdly enough, using Google Chrome worked, after Edge and IE both failed. slightly smiling face

You can even reinstall the browser that did not respond properly.
