I have a conflicted copy. Any ideas why and what can I do?

Explorer | Level 3

Excel and Word files in my Dropbox, (That I have NOT even opened in some time) are saying:   Filename "macbook-air.lan's conflicted copy 2019-05-29".xls

2019-05-29 is the same date on all of these, which is a few weeks ago!

What is causing this?  And, how do I stop it or correct it?

My LAN is a Google hub. I have 2 Macbook Airs that have these in Dropbox.

Thank you for any help in advance!!!

A conflicted copy is created when a file has been modified on more than one device. The conflicted copy is created so that no changes are lost. You can read more about it here:

I've looked at that article already and that doesn't help.

These files that state "Conflicted" have not even been opened for months.

Plus, why does it have "lan's" in the name?

Is the Google Hub Network that I have causing this?

Something has modified them, or a conflict wouldn't have been created.

macbook-air.lan is the name of the computer that created the conflict.
